Yulia Marfutova (*1988, Moscow) is a writer who now lives in Boston. She studied German and history in Berlin and completed her doctorate in Münster. Her novel Der Himmel vor hundert Jahren (Heaven a Hundred Years Ago) was on the longlist for the German Book Prize and was awarded the Buddenbrookhaus Debut Prize and the Friedrich-Hölderlin-Förderpreis.
