As an artist and experimental musician, he has realized several sound and video installations in which the relationship between image and sound is explored.
His work is generally concerned with rhythm, basic cinematic elements such as montage and loop, as well as performative electronic sound experiments.
Tim Gorinski works independently as a drummer and producer for experimental sound art, film music as well as in various musical collaborations (Noise Du Chocolat with Alexander Pascal Forre and Paul Faltz and Xul Solar with Martin Geier and Ronald Röttel).
His work has been shown internationally at festivals and exhibitions (including Colidge Corner Theater, Boston/USA, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Schauspiel Leipzig, Kunsthaus NRW, Roxie Theatre San Franisco/USA, Videonale Bonn, German Ex-Films Vermont/USA).
