Thea Reifler (*1987, CH) works as a director at the intersections of performance, music theater, film and installation. She uses performances and exhibitions as a means for encounters of the third kind - both in artificially created and in found environments. Her works seek multi-layeredness and are therefore created with different media, different production steps and different groups of people.
As part of the collective K.A.U.&Wdowik (DE/PL) she created a road movie diary (Transit Monumental, Spielart Festival Munich), a film opera (Fiasco, Staatstheater Darmstadt) and a dance piece for a museum piece (Return of a Goddess, Sophiensaele Berlin and MX). Further collaborations connect her with das schaubüro (CH) and with the Reality Research Center (FI).
Her most recent works were created as a directing duo with Philipp Bergmann at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm (These Days), 3hd Festival Berlin and Theaterspektakel Zürich (Your Unlikely Friend), and at Museum Hamburger Bahnhof (Stream Switch).
