Tanasgol Sabbagh

Tanasgol Sabbagh writes poetry and spoken word texts. She holds a B.A. in Oriental Studies and is currently studying General and Comparative Literature at the Freie Universität Berlin. For the past ten years, she has performed as a freelance stage poet on numerous stages in German-speaking countries, including Volksbühne Berlin, Deutsches Schauspielhaus, Elbphilharmonie. In her texts she deals with the state of being human and the discomfort associated with it. Her work has appeared in anthologies and journals and has been staged in various stage, radio and video formats (including Solothurn Literature Days, Hellerau - European Center for the Arts, Zeit Online). She is a founding member of the artist collective parallelgesellschaft and the event series of the same name in Berlin. She is also involved in promoting young literary talent and leads writing workshops for young people and students. Tanasgol lives in Berlin.
