Philine Rinnert is a freelance stage designer and artist.
Since her studies at the UDK Berlin and the Theater Academy St. Petersburg, she has been developing music theater hybrids together with Johannes Müller, which deal with the past of opera and its techniques, but also combine them with current and pop cultural discourses. She also collaborates with the author Gerhild Steinbuch and the performance collective Freundliche Mitte in Vienna. In addition to various collaborations in the independent performance scene, she develops site-specific research projects and interventions and is involved in social activist contexts. Her works have been shown at Sophiensaele Berlin, brut Wien, Kampnagel Hamburg, Stuttgart State Opera, Antwerp Opera, Southbank Centre London, Tramway Glasgow, Nowy Teatr Warsaw, Festival Favoriten and Steierischer Herbst in Graz, among others.
