Orsolya Kalász (*1964 in Dunaújváros) is a poet and translator.

She has lived and worked for many years alternately in Berlin and Budapest.

Kalász translates contemporary Hungarian literature, with a focus on poetry, often in tandem with the author Monika Rinck. She writes her own poems sometimes in Hungarian, sometimes in German. She then translates them into the second language herself, often resulting in poetic variations.
Her latest book of poems, Das Eine, was awarded the Peter Huchel Prize in 2017.
She regularly organizes, moderates, and accompanies events by Hungarian authors in Germany.Together with Peter Holland, Kalász is editing the anthology Dies wird die Hypnose des Jahrhunderts on contemporary Hungarian poetry (Berlin: KLAK Verlag 2019).
