Odile Kennel is a poet, novelist and translator living in Berlin. She writes in German and French and likes to include other languages in her texts. In 2023 she published the poetry collection irgendetwas dazwischen and in 2021 the essay Lust (both published by Verlagshaus Berlin). Lisette Lombé's most recent translation was brennen brennen brennen (Assoziation A 2024). Her first volume of poetry oder wie heißt diese interplanetare Luft was published by dtv in 2013, as were two novels, Was Ida sagt (2011) and Mit Blick auf See (2017). She was nominated for the Alfred Döblin Prize for the latter. In 2022, she received the Paul Scheerbart Prize for her poetry translations. In 2023, Lust was shortlisted for the Book Women's Prize.
