Max Gadow, born 1989 in Hamburg, is a freelance artist and theater maker in Berlin. After studying acting direction at the HfS Ernst Busch, he studied in the master's program DAS theatre in Amsterdam.
In his work he focuses on the investigation of western myths and power structures and derives performative processes from them. Pop culture, new media and technologies are hybridized with canonized cultural assets in these works. Formats ranging from spatial installations to workshops to stage productions emerge.
At the Center for Literature in 2020, as part of virtuellestheater, he developed the augmented reality game Calling Occupants for Interplanetary Care as part of Keine Sorge/Don't Care.
