Marleen Krallmann writes between art and design. She studied typography at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and media studies at the Institute for Media Studies in Kiel. Afterwards she opened her studio "scriptum" as an interface between society and her world of writing. In her calligraphic performances it becomes particularly clear that the process she calls "practice" contains the crucial focus. Active writing already represents a medium of memory, the final result an imprint of it. Thus written forms and content develop mutually, with each other, against each other, and lead the*viewer*in to an expanded space of search and meditation.
