Marie Schwesinger

Marie Schwesinger is a freelance director. She works primarily on novel adaptations, contemporary political material and scenic documentary research. She studied directing at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and scenic arts at the University of Hildesheim. She completed directing internships at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Schaubühne Berlin. From 2017 to 2019, she was an assistant director at Schauspiel Frankfurt. In October 2018, she created her first scenic work as part of the Spielraum series Gegen alle Widerstände, followed by her staging of Corpus Delicti by Juli Zeh in September 2019 and her staging of the world premiere of Robert Seethaler's novel Das Feld.
