As a mother, lover, friend and sister, Marie-Andrée Gill uses her relationships to create poetry. She oscillates between kitsch and existential writing, combining both her Quebec and Ilnu identities to define the Nitassinan and Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean territories. She is a literature student exploring intimate writing and the decolonized love concept. She has published three books of poetry with La Peuplade: Béante, Frayer and Chauffer le dehors.
