Ivna Žic, born in 1986 in Zagreb, grew up in Zurich, studied Applied Theater Studies, Drama Direction and Scenic Writing in Giessen, Hamburg and Graz. Since 2011 she has been working as a freelance writer and director, increasingly in collective or pack structures.
She is part of the writers' collective ICW (Institute for Chauvinist Further Education) and the Viennese translators' collective Versatorium. Together with Refugee Protest Camp she realized the multilingual project DIE SCHUTZbefohlenen by E. Jelinek (Vestibül/Burgtheater; Theater Bremen; Theater Freiburg; Schauspielhaus Zürich.). Her debut novel will be published by Matthes&Seitz in summer 2019.
Žic lives in Zurich and Vienna.
