Gabriele Wix received her PhD in Modern Literary Studies from the University of Bonn in 2009 for Max Ernst. Painter, Poet, Writer (Munich: 2009, 2nd ed. 2019). Wix works internationally at the intersection of poetry and visual art. Another focus of her work is edition philology. Since 2019, Wix has been on the board of the European Society for Textual Scholarship.
She is also an adjunct lecturer at the University of Bonn and curator of exhibitions and performances on writing processes and artists' books, including Marcel Beyer, Max Ernst, Martin Kippenberger, Thomas Kling, Stefan Steiner, Richard Tuttle, Lawrence Weiner.
