Dr. Christian Krajewski, who grew up in "mountainous Westphalia," knows from his own experience the special qualities, but also the disadvantages and challenges of rural areas. As a senior academic councillor, he teaches and conducts research at the Institute of Geography at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster, focusing on rural spatial development, urban and regional development and housing markets. In 2020, together with Prof. Claus-C. Wiegandt (Bonn) published the book "Land in Sicht. Ländliche Räume in Deutschland zwischen Prosperität und Peripherisierung." As part of the Droste Festival 2022 on the theme of city/countryside in flux, Dr. Christian Krajewski will moderate the roundtable discussion The Smart Countryside on the future in the countryside.
