Dieu Hao Do, born 1986 in Stadthagen, is a Chinese-German writer and film director. His films explore new perspectives on historical memory of the American War in Vietnam. Aiming to empower new BIPOC voices for storytelling, he leads film workshops and is involved in mentoring and #VielfaltImFilm. He is an active member of the non-profit initiative BERLIN ASIAN FILM NETWORK (BAFNET), which has been committed to differentiated representations of Asian German realities in film and television since 2012.
