Daniela Janjic was born in Mostar in 1984 and grew up in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sweden and Switzerland. Her first play Gelbe Tage was premiered as part of the Swiss Authors' Support Workshop Dramenprozessor and was performed and staged readings throughout Switzerland, as well as internationally.
This was followed by invitations to the 4th Weekend of Young Drama at the Münchner Kammerspiele and participation in the World Interplay in Townsville Australia and the Workshop Days at the Burgtheater Vienna. After graduating with a bachelor's degree from the Swiss Literature Institute, she studied from 2010
2012 Scenic Writing at the Berlin University of the Arts. Her first own production Tod meiner Stadt was last seen in 2015 as a revival/guest performance at the Studio Я of the Maxim Gorki Theater.
Daniela Janjic lives as a freelance writer and director in Berlin.
