Christa Morgenrath is initiator and curator of the Cologne literary and educational series stimmen afrikas. As a dramaturge and consultant to Roberto Ciulli, she helped develop the foundations of international cultural exchange at the "Theater an der Ruhr" in the 1990s. She was able to expand on these during EXPO 2000 and at the "international literature festival berlin", among others, and added development policy aspects during her work in West Africa. She worked as an editor for the WDR radio play editorial department and is (co-)editor of the essay volumes Decolonization of Thought and Making Africa Visible by Ngugi wa Thiong'o (Unrast, 2018 and 2019) as well as the anthology IMAGINE AFRICA 2060 (Peter Hammer Verlag, 2019).
