Bernadette La Hengst, musician and theater maker, born in Münster, grew up in East Westphalia, lives in Berlin since 2004. With the Hamburg all girl beat punk band Die Braut haut ins Auge she rocked through the 90s, the 6th solo album Wir sind die Vielen was released in March 2019 by Trikont. Since 2004, she has realized countless participatory theater projects as a musician or director in Berlin's Sophiensaele, Thalie Theater Hamburg and Theater Freiburg, among others. As an unconditional choir director, she founds choirs in performative city and village projects, currently with her 100-member Choir of Statistics. Since 2019 she is a band member of the Dresden brass band Banda Comunale/Internationale.
