born in 1974 in Berlin, where he also lives, studied German and philosophy.

Editor and literary organizer at KOOK e.V. and for the poesiefestival berlin. Co-founder of, among others, the long literature and music night HAM.LIT in Hamburg, the poetry night Part of the Movement in Leipzig and Frankfurt/Main and the literature festival Wortgarten in the Uckermark.

His first book of poetry, ausrücken mit modellen, was published in 2011 by kookbooks, Berlin. This was followed in 2013 by 45sec, poems to photographs by Michael Mies, with SuKuLTur, Berlin, and in 2015 by verschwörungscartoons, New York-Flarf poems, in parasitenpresse, Cologne. His new poetry collection barbaren erwarten was published in January 2018, also by kookbooks.

Wiener Werkstattpreis for poetry 2002. clemens Brentano Prize of the city of Heidelberg 2012. fellow of the Villa Decius in Krakow, Poland, 2007, the German Academy Rome at Casa Baldi, Olevano Romano, 2013, Villa Aurora, Los Angeles, 2016, and the Berlin Senate for Culture, 2010 and 2018.

Selected poems have been translated into English, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Slovak, Persian, and Hebrew.
