Abdalrahman Alqalaq, born in 1997 in Alyarmouk, a refugee camp on the outskirts of Damascus, is a Palestinian writer, poet and performer. He studies cultural studies and aesthetic practice with a focus on theatre and literature, as well as cultural policy in international comparison at the University of Hildesheim and at the Université MV in Rabat. In 2022, his poetry debut ‘vierundzwanzig’ was published in Arabic by Elles Publishing House in Cairo. Some texts were published in Weiter Schreiben magazine. Alqalaq completed an FSJ at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe, internships at the Junges Nationaltheater Mannheim and at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele for the Performing Exiles Festival 2023.
