KINOPOESIE EN MINIATURE

poesiefilm_0901berkovich

An evening with poems from the poetry anthology CINEMA, read by Dinçer Güçyeter, and poetry films from the Poetryfilmtage Weimar

It is indisputable that film, cinema, in short, that CINEMA, the art of moving images with all its divas and heroes, its giants and losers, has exerted a tremendous fascination on people from the very beginning. The editors of the poetry anthology CINEMA, Dinçer Güçyeter and Wolfgang Schiffer, have invited poets to write poems about what connects them to CINEMA. What touched them, inspired them, perhaps comforted them, what changed their vision or awakened associations that now live on in words, even though the occasion may have long since been forgotten.

With poems by Nora Gomringer, Lütfiye Güzel, Katia Sophia Ditzler, Simone Scharbert, Jan Volker Röhnert, Hans Thill, Uljana Wolf, Stefan Heuer, Jörg Sundermeier, Ulrike Almut Sandig and many more.

The reading will be contrasted with a selection from the Weimar Poetry Film Festival. The 9th Poetryfilm Prize was awarded at the beginning of June 2024. 479 poetry films from 51 countries were submitted for the competition, 12 films were presented in Weimar. The LITFILMS Festival will be showing the award-winning films Für immer (Best Film) and 09.01. Berkovich (Best Animation & Audience Award), among others.

In co-operation with LITFILMS Literatur Film Festival Münster
