This year’s Droste Festival is wholly dedicated to dark magic. Structured around the important date of midsummer, we will pursue the question of what invisible forces guide, what we are afraid of and what makes up spellbound. What does magic mean in the 21st century and where can it be found? Can a seemingly archaic notion help us to better understand the world we live in?
The invited artists will find diverse answers to these questions and will take us away to a world of the irrational where what is invisible in other places will become visible.
